The Moe123 Scholarship Fund is very excited to be preparing the announcement of the second year of scholarship winners at an upcoming event in Minneapolis on January 23, 2020.
Making the award to this year’s winners even more special is that they will be announced by the winners from the first annual scholarship awards, which were handed out a year ago.
Moe123 is a charity that provides scholarships to passionate students who want to make the world a better place through the pursuit of education. It is the same pursuit that drove Mostafa Sarim, for whom the charity is named after. Mostafa Sarim, who passed away in 2018, possessed an undeniable thirst for knowledge and education.
The goal for Moe123 this year is to hand out 10 scholarships to worthy students. Five students were awarded $5,000 each in the charity’s first year, a laudable achievement that will provide the foundation for growth going forward. The goal of awarding twice as many scholarships this year is becoming more possible thanks to the generous donations from people, which have surpassed what the charity received last year, said Marty Sarim, Mostafa’s brother and the founder and chairman of Moe123.
“This charity has been a source of healing for my family,” Marty Sarim said. “Being able to turn a tragedy into something special like this has been a blessing.”
More information about the charity is available at www.moe123sf.org. Donations are also accepted at the site, too.
