PANDEMIC BRINGS NEW WAYS FOR ERC EMPLOYEES TO STAY CONNECTED
ERC, one of the top global contact center providers of customer experience solutions, announced a brand-new internal communications and employee engagement tool called myERC for its global workforce.
Following a year where a large majority of ERC employees were forced to work from home, employee communication has become paramount. ERC has a long history of listening to their employees and making the proper pivot when deemed necessary.
At the beginning of the COVID-19 pandemic ERC shifted 3,800 employees globally to work-at-home. Pre pandemic ERC’s Employee Engagement team organized monthly activities for employees to participate in during down time. They were always an employee highlight, but in the last year the way ERC engages their workforce has shifted.
ERC’s leadership team wanted to keep employees educated and continue to nurture a strong connection with them virtually. The new myERC app allows employees to sign up for Employee Engagement events virtually, stay educated about company news, take surveys, announce internal company award winners, and recognize great work.
“We have great people at ERC and with the launch and development of myERC we will build a stronger connection to our entire organization,” said Chief Talent Officer Mike Duplessis. “COVID-19 has opened new channels of communication. It has also opened our eyes to new ideas on how to keep our employees engaged.”
Duplessis, who joined ERC in the fall of 2020, implemented this new feature to the organization.
“The frontlines of our workforce are the backbone of ERC,” added Duplessis. “myERC gives us a fresh and innovative way to get out important company related topics to our workforce whether they come to the office or work from home.”
The new internal communications and employee engagement feature was released to employees during a week-long launch led by Employee Development Director Rose Fortunato.
“The introduction of myERC was a great way for ERC to come together. We feel it will allow ERC to create more meaningful and impactful relationships with our employees,” said Fortunato.
