ERC’s employees roll up their sleeves in celebration of Your State Parks Day in Georgia.
Each year, thousands of Georgians celebrate Your State Parks Day by visiting their State Parks for free. This year, in preparation for the rush, ERC, one of the top international BPO providers of customer experience solutions, joined forces with the Friends of Laura Walker State Park non-profit organization to repair and clean the popular destination.
From airing out of Group Camp Cabins, to removing trash and debris, to freeing trees from invasive vines that encroached over the summer, ERC’s employees helped with various projects ahead of the Your State Parks Day crush of outdoor enthusiasts.
ERC was proud to receive accolades and shout-out in social media from the Friends, as members of the Friends of Laura Walker State Park call themselves. The volunteers who participated not only came from our Waycross offices, but also from our corporate headquarters in Jacksonville, Florida.
ERC is proud to partner in this annual clean-up through its ERC Cares program.
“It was a privilege to participate in the park clean-up at Laura Walker. I love what I do at ERC because we invest in our people, which I believe is an investment in our community,” said Christian Miles, Site Director. “This event was another opportunity to invest. Many employees, including me, wanted to participate in this to show that we are more than just another employer; we are an organization that looks to help our community in any way possible. We look forward to working with Laura Walker for future events and appreciate the hospitality of everyone on the staff!”
Green recreational spaces are treasures, and ERC encourages its employees to get out there and embrace the spirit of voluntarism. ERC established the ERC Cares program in 2016 in part to connect its employees to volunteer opportunities. The ERC Cares logo has long been a beacon of hope to those in need in the US and the Dominican Republic. The Laura Walker State Park Clean-up is just one of the many ways ERC and its workforce give back throughout the year.
