The image of working remotely or working at home has changed in the past decade. Working at home is now a legitimate component of corporate America and not seen with a negative connotation. More companies are deploying remote working options as part of their business continuity response, as we’ve seen a recent increase in response to the Coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic. Corporate redundancy is one of the few benefits as studies have proven over 20% productivity increase and 65% greater retention rate for employees who work at home.
ERC has established a partnership with Teleworks USA, a company that specializes and offers work at home opportunities to individuals throughout Eastern Kentucky. The company is leveraging high-speed internet access that has been installed throughout the region and offers residents in rural areas the chance to work for global corporations without having to relocate. The result is a great opportunity for employers looking to tap into a workforce of employees who are familiar with the ins and outs of working at home and are ready to hit the ground running.
“We can’t wait to start referring people your way and being partners,” said Betty Hays, Teleworks USA Operations Manager.
Teleworks USA will be working with ERC to identify and hire part-time workers who need complete flexibility to accommodate their schedules. Most remote work opportunities are only for full-time opportunities. What’s unique about the partnership between ERC and Teleworks USA is that it enables a remote workforce, hungry for opportunities, with global brands.
Along with high-speed internet access that is available to the homes of most residents throughout the region, Teleworks USA also maintains eight different hubs throughout Eastern Kentucky that can provide onboarding, certification, and training opportunities. The hubs can be used for job fairs and on-the-spot interviews and hirings. Teleworks also continues to work with employees even after they have been hired by ERC, maintaining a close connection. This helps keep turnover low and helps maintain consistency within the workforce which improves results.
“ERC will be returning to Eastern Kentucky to participate in the recruiting process with Teleworks USA. We look forward to developing a long-lasting partnership with Teleworks USA,” said Nathanael Robbins, Head of Work at Home Operations.
