For the eighth year in a row, ERC organized a Toy Drive this month in the Dominican Republic to benefit a number of different charities and foundations.
This year’s Toy Drive collected more than 3,000 toys that were given away to children of all ages. The toys were donated to 10 different charities and foundations in the Dominican Republic. The children were invited to a day of games, face painting, and receiving their gifts in an event that was organized by ERC and staffed by 30 volunteers from the company.
The event was organized by Daiana Ramirez, who talked about the impact that the Toy Drive has on her and everyone else at ERC.
“For the past seven years, every January my heart is filled with life and love because of the Toy Drive,” she said. “For me, this is not work, it is a chance for us at ERC to spread love to thousands of children across the Dominican Republic.”
During the festivities, there were clowns on hand to entertain the children and paint faces, and ERC employees organized and participated in games with the kids. Employees and children sang songs, ate sweets, danced, and had a great time.
Every year, ERC increases the number of toys it donates, making it possible to bring joy to more children. For ERC and the wonderful volunteers to help make this day possible every year, the Toy Drive is a great opportunity to make a difference in the lives of thousands of children. The pictures from the event drove smiles, laugh and a great time. Opportunities like this to connect with a community are to be cherished and remembered for years to come.
