ERC’s EMPLOYEES RALLY TOGETHER TO BEAT THE HEAT AND GIVE BACK.
As the temperatures rise and the summer heats up, ERC, one of the top international BPO providers of customer experience solutions, offered its employees in the United States a creative way to beat the heat while raising funds for the First Coast Blessings in a Backpack Chapter.
With more and more of ERC’s employees returning to work on-site, ERC wanted to ensure they were as comfortable as can be. Therefore, the Shorts for Summer fundraiser, launched in July, granted employees who signed up to donate $20 a pass at the dress policy with the opportunity to come to work dressed in work-appropriate shorts for the summer.
“The summer heat can be overwhelming, and we received a lot of requests to wear shorts,” said Sarah Hartland, Employee Engagement Supervisor at ERC. “That’s when we decided to kick-off our Shorts for the Summer donation drive for Blessings in a Backpack. This fundraiser has been an uplifting and encouraging chance for our team to give back to the community. Helping those in need, especially children, is an important part of our culture here at ERC.”
ERC is always looking for creative ways to raise funds for the local community; from hosting games and organizing volunteer events, ERC is committed to giving back while keeping its employees engaged and motivated.
For several years running, ERC’s Shorts for Summer initiative has provided much-needed support to Blessings in a Backpack. This non-profit organization provides food for the weekends for thousands of elementary school students living in the First Coast area who face food insecurity. Through the generosity of ERC’s employees, Blessings in a Backpack is one step closer to fulfilling their goal of increasing the number of children being fed by 500 this school year.
