THE ERC GLOBAL TEAM STAYED COOL WHILE RAISING FUNDS FOR CHILDREN IN NEED.
JACKSONVILLE, Florida, October 1, 2022 – Everyone loves casual Fridays. Imagine that your employer gave you the option of making every day a casual Friday. For the staff at ERC Global, a global provider of customer experience (CX) products and solutions, employees had the opportunity to purchase an entire summer’s worth of casual dress days for a great cause!
Shorts for Summer, an ever-popular initiative under ERC Global’s ERC Cares corporate responsivity program, reached new heights this year as more employees than ever signed up for payroll deductions to suspend the dress code for the summer and come to work in shorts.
“This is my third year participating,” said a senior Employee Engagement Liaison. “I look forward to Shorts for Summer each year, as it allows me to beat the heat and help out with a cause that is very near and dear to my heart. This is the perfect opportunity to give back in style!”
The event kicked off in late spring and closed down as the cooler temperatures of October rolled in. This year’s Short for Summer event raised enough money to help two of ERC Global’s favorite charities through the staff’s generous donations. The proceeds were donated to Blessings in a Backpack, a not-for-profit organization that provides meals for the weekend to children in underserved communities in Florida’s First Coast region. Shorts for Summer funds were also allocated to build a sensory garden for Angelwood, a home for children, adults, and families living with disabilities.
