The list recognizes influential leaders in business and politics in the Dominican Republic.
SANTO DOMINGO, Dominican Republic November 16th, 2021 – Each year, Mercado Magazine recognizes a new generation of leaders from the public and private sectors in the Dominican Republic. The list, comprised of prominent young figures in business and the government, known as the 40 Under 40 list, is the ultimate accolade for any young professional under forty.
Ranking in at number eleven in the 2021 list, Jose Gonzalez, ERC’s Executive Vice President, has been nominated each year since 2018. In addition to making the 40 Under 40 list, Gonzalez was selected as a speaker in this year’s panel representing ERC, one of the top international BPO providers of customer experience solutions.
Nominees go through a rigorous selection process by the selection committee at Mercado Magazine. The list is a “Who’s Who” in the Dominican business world. Nominees come from all backgrounds, their resumes vary, but they all have one thing in common: they are all successful leaders in their fields and are renowned for their dedication to excellence.
The list is published in a special edition issue of Mercado magazine that includes a bio for each inductee detailing the accomplishments that have led to their place on the list. “Always upright, ready to take the next step forward. This is the attitude of this group of brave leaders of the present and the future, in command of strategic sectors of the country,” read this year’s cover story.
The topic discussed by the panel of speakers during this year’s event was “The Vision of Young Business Leadership Faced with the Challenges of Economic Reactivation.” This forum focused on the impact the COVID-19 pandemic has had on the Dominican Republic’s economy and how these leaders have prepared their organizations for the post-pandemic boom.
